Support us

Red Thread is a community-based organisation, and we rely on the support of the community. Every effort to raise money helps to fund the Andrew Shaw Foundation – from direct donations to membership and fundraising.

Andrew Shaw died from AIDS-related illness in 1987 and the Andrew Shaw Foundation offers financial assistance to people living with or affected by HIV/AIDS and are experiencing economic hardship.

The money we raise is used for a range of support activities, such as reducing the impact of HIV/AIDS on people in Tasmania, offering support for households experiencing HIV/AIDS, and helping to prevent HIV/AIDS through research and education to high-risk parts of the community.

How can you help?

We welcome financial donations with open arms! Whether you want to pledge a one-off amount or give regularly every little bit really does help. We thank you for considering giving your hard-earned money to those affected by HIV/AIDS.
